Meet The Author

Eric A Mayes, Jr., with more than 35 years of pastoral
experience-33 of which have been at his present church, Unity Baptist
Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-is a certified deacon trainer and has
successfully used the material presented in Deacon Training in the
Black Church in his own deacon training program. He is an
instructor in the MTI program at Oklahoma Baptist University School of
Religion.
Besides writing this manual, he is the author of Preaching Values of a Church Covenant, Suit Up Your Workers for Christian Service, Church-Related Position Descriptions for Presidents, Directors, Coordinators and The Seven Greatest Signs Ever Performed: A Contemporary Treatment He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church life development. |
